The church stands on the site of the Crucifixion, Burial and Resurrection. People order prayers for the living and the departed, candles, forty-day commemorations, memorial services.

If you need Jerusalem only — choose the Holy Sepulchre or the nearby Alexander Metochion. St. George is in Lod, not Jerusalem.
