St. George, Lod

By tradition, the Great Martyr George rests here. People bring names for the living and the departed, light candles, and order a forty-day commemoration.

Lod lies between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. If you want the Holy Land in a wider sense — this church fits. If you need Jerusalem only — choose the Holy Sepulchre or the Alexander Metochion.
